Tips for inspecting JSON
Start from the root type: object, array, or primitive.
Look for unexpected nulls and missing keys early.
Large nested arrays may need filtering before review.
Compare structure against the API schema when available.
Copy only the subtree you need for debugging.
See JSON as a tree, not a wall of text

The parser turns a JSON document into a structure you can walk: root type, keys, nested arrays, and primitives.
Use it when a formatter is not enough — you need to know what is an object versus an array, or pull one subtree for a ticket.
Inspect a JSON document
Paste the document
Full response bodies work; huge files may be easier to trim first.
Start at the root type
Confirm object, array, or primitive before chasing nested keys.
Copy only the subtree you need
Avoid dumping secrets from the whole payload into chat.
JSON parser FAQ
How is this different from the formatter?
Formatter changes whitespace. Parser is for reading types and shape.
Can it parse JSON Lines?
Use the JSONL parser for one object per line. This tool expects a single JSON value.
Does it execute JSON as code?
No. It only reads data. There is no eval.
