Tips for formatting SQL
Formatting does not validate semantics or safety.
Keep parameterized queries — formatting is not a substitute for escaping.
Use consistent dialect keywords for your database.
Review diffs after format so logic changes are not hidden.
Avoid pasting production credentials inside sample queries.
Readable SQL, same statement
Processing stays in your browser — your input is not uploaded to our servers.
The formatter reindents keywords and clauses so a long query is reviewable. It does not run SQL against a database.
Dialects (Postgres vs MySQL vs T-SQL) differ. Formatting is cosmetic; it will not fix invalid SQL.
Format a SQL statement
Paste the query
One statement is easier to read than a mixed script with `GO` batches.
Format
Skim JOIN and WHERE alignment — that is usually what you wanted to see.
Copy back to the editor
Run it in your real client. This page has no database session.

No. There is no database connection.
Will it anonymize literals?
