Tips for checking your IP
This is the public address seen by websites — often your NAT or VPN egress.
A VPN or corporate proxy changes the public IP you see here.
IPv4 and IPv6 may differ; try Refresh if one stack is preferred.
Do not treat public IP alone as identity or location proof.
Clear the page if you share a screen recording with others.
The address websites already see
Your public IP is requested from a public echo API so we can display it. Browser context (UA, timezone) stays on the device.
This page asks a public IP echo service so you can see the address that sites see — often a NAT gateway or VPN egress, not a private 192.168.x.x.
User agent, language, and timezone come from the browser itself. Refresh if you just connected a VPN.
My IP FAQ
Why is this not 192.168.0.1?
That is a LAN address. Public IP is what the internet sees after NAT or a VPN.
Does this site store my IP?
The lookup goes to a public echo API (for example ipify) so we can display it. We do not turn it into an account profile.
Can IP prove my location?
No. Geo from an IP is a coarse guess and is wrong on VPNs and CGNAT.
