Tips for time zones
ISO strings ending with Z are UTC; bare dates are treated as UTC here.
Unix timestamps under 1e12 are treated as seconds; larger values as milliseconds.
Offsets change with daylight saving — always check the zone label for the chosen date.
Prefer IANA zones (Europe/Berlin) over fixed UTC+3 labels when scheduling across regions.
Clock time across time zones

UTC is the common reference. This converter maps a wall time between UTC and another zone so standups and incident windows line up.
DST makes “the same local time next month” a trap. Prefer UTC in logs.
Convert a timestamp across zones
Enter the source time and zone
If the ticket says “3pm Eastern”, set that zone explicitly — do not assume the browser zone is Eastern.
Read UTC and the target zone
Copy both into the ticket so nobody converts twice.
Watch DST offsets
A meeting booked in March may shift in November. Recalculate instead of adding hours in your head.
UTC converter FAQ
Is UTC the same as GMT?
For civil time they are often treated the same. Offsets still come from IANA zone data, not from the letters GMT.
Does this use my laptop clock?
The conversion uses the zone rules in the browser. If the OS clock is wrong, “now” is wrong too.
Local only?
Yes. No time API is called.
