Tips for QR codes

Prefer short URLs — dense payloads are harder to scan.

Do not put passwords or tokens in the shareable page link.

Test the QR with the same scanner your audience will use.

Increase size for print; keep contrast high (dark on light).

Clear the form after generating codes with sensitive text.

Turn any text or URL into a QR code

Processing stays in your browser — your input is not uploaded to our servers.

Paste a link, Wi‑Fi string, plain text, or short note and the page draws a QR code in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

The content is mirrored into the page URL (`?data=…`) so you can bookmark or share a link that regenerates the same QR. Skip the shareable link for secrets — query strings land in history and logs.

Make a QR code

  1. Enter the payload

Use a URL for the common case, or any short text the scanner should read.

  2. Adjust size if needed

Larger codes scan more reliably on print; smaller ones fit UI mockups.

  3. Download or share

Save a PNG, or copy the page link so someone else opens the same QR.

QR generator FAQ

Is the QR built on your servers?

No. The image is rendered locally with the text you typed.

Why put the text in the URL?

So opening the link rebuilds the same QR. Do not put passwords or tokens in `data`.

What if my text is very long?

The QR still draws, but very long payloads may not sync into the shareable URL and can be hard to scan.
